We are HOFF

Being the ideal partners in engineering within the maritime industry. With this in mind HOFF was found by Marcel Kruithof and Lars Hofman. With every project they do they will only deliver the best quality possible. 

HOFF will provide throughout the whole proces; from design until production. During this proces they will be a true partner for their clients. HOFF relieves during the entire project and can be an extension for her clients. During the project HOFF values cooperation and transparency. HOFF stands out from others by applying a clear process with excellent communication, flexibilty and a wide range of skills. “We ensure that our clients can count on us. FOUNDING PARTNER

Lars Hofman

Lars Hofman has worked his way up within the yacht building industry, in which he has had several roles, from Junior to Lead Engineer, wherafter he also experienced the production environment as Area Manager, after which he decided to return as Engineering Coordinator and eventually Project Manager Engineering. With 9 years of professional experience he decided together with Marcel Kruithof to found the company HOFF. 

Lars has a strong set of communicative skills, can quickly create an overview, is very driven, firm and open. During his work he values partnership, transparency, reliability and flexibility. Within HOFF he is responsible for sales, procurement and recruitment.

Our approach is designed for maximum efficiency, ensuring that we deliver results on time and within budget. 01 Intake and planning

First, we must understand our ultimate goal to create an effective plan for identifying and mitigating risks. Addressing issues early is crucial to avoid costly resolutions later. We will develop a clear project plan defining goals and roles, set deadlines for tasks, and establish key milestones to track progress. Regular check-ins will help us tackle challenges and ensure smooth communication, keeping everyone aligned throughout the project.

02 Kick-off

For each task, we will hold a kickoff meeting to ensure that everyone is aligned and understands what is expected. During this meeting, we will discuss the objectives, clarify roles, and address any questions. This will help set a positive tone for the work ahead and ensure that all team members are on the same page. By fostering open communication from the start, we can work more effectively together throughout the project.

03 Start engineering

We’ll begin developing the maritime masterpiece as we’ve discussed and agreed upon. Our teamwork will be essential, and we’ll leverage our extensive network of experts whenever necessary to tackle any challenges that arise. By collaborating effectively and utilizing our resources, we can ensure a successful outcome for the project.

04 Progress reporting

We will provide monthly progress updates and hold optional meetings for discussion. These meetings will give everyone a chance to share insights, ask questions, and collaboratively address any concerns regarding the project’s status, which will help minimize further risks.

05 First draft for review

We will send the initial draft along with a status form that outlines any outstanding actions required. This will ensure everyone is aware of what still needs to be addressed and help keep the project on track. Additionally, we will proactively provide ideas in advance to make any challenges we encounter more efficient or less complex.

06 Review meeting

We will dive into the details and guide you through each step of the process. This approach ensures that you have a clear understanding of what to expect at every stage and allows for open communication as we progress together.

07 Delivery

The drawings or designs will include all necessary clarifications. This will make it easier for you and also facilitate discussions with your end client, ensuring everyone is on the same page and understands the details clearly.

08 Receipt of approval

We await approval for the deliverable. Steps 6-8 will be reiterated until final approval.
